Who rides motorcycles?

Well - this summer was totally different. Not one single mile on my BMW R1200 GSA. The entire summer was spent with my new Cocker Spaniel puppy - Brownie.

Yes lots of good rides in the area. My friends and I started what we called the Snowball run. Mainly because we were just riding roads taking which ever one looked good and came across Snowball, AR. and the name stuck. Have done the Snowball run, which consist of 5 or 6 days and 1,000 to 1,500 miles of curvy roads, several times over the past 8 years.

If you ever get in the area the Low Gap Cafe on Hwy 74 is a must stop in my opinion. Great food in the middle of nowhere. The way I understand it the Chef used to work in some big place in New York and got tired of the rat race, moved to AR. Well worth the stop even if out of your way, just don't expect fancy. Live music on Fri and Sat.

Nice looking little roadhouse..... now that would be a real good tour for me.

Learned long ago to watch where utility work crews go regularly..... if it's a rough looking building, but the lot is crowded with work trucks at mealtime.... usually some of the best food for many miles :licking:

Hard to co-ordinate schedules..... great when you can get out for a long group-run

Rgds, D.

Edit - had to look up Snowball........ no straight roads anywhere near there for a loooonnnnnnngggggg ways. Bird's eye view, looks like mighty fine MC country !!!!

It is some of the best MC roads I have ridden and I have been many places in the U.S. as well as a trip to Alaska and back. Was in my backyard before I moved to Texas to be closer to family. I do miss the quick evening rides. Now I have to plan.

WOW, they be proud of their food huh??

Actually their prices seem high but if you eat there once it does not bother you the second time. It is some of the best food I have had. The Shrimp Carbonara was my favorite and is awesome. Huge servings and great friendly staff.

My wife and I occasionally ride with ROMEo Riders out of KC , we enjoy rides to small town restaurants. We do make a Fall run to Eureka Springs each year, which is great.

I love riding the Ozarks in my backyard... and other to NW Arkansas. I also do track days about once a month, three seasons a year.
