MoPops - you are riding some nice back roads on your GSA. Like that setter also. My dad raised Lawellen(sp) setters to hunt quail in North central WA.

I went for a ride on my GSA this AM with the sun shinning like a new dime. Somewhere along the way the gods thought it would be humorous and here came the rain. Last 50 miles was in a downpour. Good this is - everything will dry once you peel it off. Getting to be that time of year, round here, where you got to be aware of wx changes - soon we will have snow.View attachment 524622


I just noticed that my original post was about my 2015 cycle - I've upgraded to a BMW 2017 R1200GSA.

I went with a HD battery this time just to get it done quickly.
Then I went for a ride. Here are some shots from the Mirror Lake Highway. I think it's SR35 but don't quote me on that.
The leaves up high are gone due to an early snow storm. Lower there were some good colors but still need another week maybe for the best colors. It was chilly, about 30-35 degrees up high.

Mr Google says that is SR 150. Beautiful.

I rode from Rock Spring WY to Vernal UT along the Flaming Gorge but didn’t go further west. Lovely ride though a bit windy on the day I traveled.

You are correct about the highway. SR35 is the next canyon south. (I think :confused3 But all good riding.

Rode this morning in a group of over three hundred riders. Unfortunately the event was a funerary procession for a well loved member of the civic community who just happened to be a supporter of anything (any one!) on two wheels.
There is something visceral about that many open pipes reverberating between the buildings on main street of a small town in the USA.

The local LEO's were on board, the number of community members lining the roadways with waves and signs, even on the by roads was inspiring.
Innocent traffic ground to a halt. The "leaf peepers", were in awe, but the common rider went through.

Riders ride, right to the end. Talk is cheap. I would like to meet the god of the biker.

Those 17s, are nice. My plan now though is to ride this 14 til it's done. (I said that about my 08 also though.) Some good riding in Texas too. I've ridden in Big Bend NP and SP several times. Been to the Hill Country once, and plan to go back. We found some good gravel roads around there, plus the Three Sisters, etc. I don't know how far you are from western Ark, but there's great riding on and off road there. Enjoy that 17, sure looks nice..

Well - all things considered - today will be the official end of riding season in my area. There is 3+ inches of snow on the porch and its still coming down. Actually, the last ride was 10-24-2017 and it was cold & damp and really not too pleasant.

I saw one of these at the stop light the other day. Pretty nice looking sportbike. Come a long way since the CB450.

Sounds great. I'm trying to sell a few. Anyone want a Honda S90!! Or a Kaw C14, Tri 900, MZ 1000 and an MZ 660! I night even sell my dr650 and get a new Kaw klx 250 for taking traveling.
