I would NEVER buy a tractor with plastic fenders!
But then......I have never bought a NEW tractor either!

What about a plastic hood?

Someone needs to tell JD that plastic hoods are not a bragging point. That alone is a deal killer for me as is the jacked up prices on their compact tractors.

Not that I want a plastic hood but just recently I did manage to have a small branch fall on my hood and now there is a small ding. I may try and work it out myself or I may have a PDR guy do it.....or I may just leave it there as a battle scar reminder

I have a metal hood, but cab has fiberglass top and rear fenders. After 10 years still no issues and I have 20 acres of trees to deal with. I went thru 3 of those plastic front grill pieces on my old jd870 even though the hood was metal. I replaced that piece 3 times at $100 each time, but that was better than a crushed metal hood. They all broke when ice fell out of bucket while moving snow piles. The ice would freeze to bucket. Real PITA.

I have 20 acres and I went with the a Massey. I have had it over 2 years now, trouble free. Loader , backhoe, 5 ft hog, box blade. Very little that I would change on it. Which I think they have on the 2020 models. Maybe a larger cup holder..
