Who makes New Holland\'s ?

I was wondering what manufacturer actually makes the New Holland line ? Is it Mitsubishi ?

I don't think all NH tractors are made in the same place. For the Boomer series, they are assembled in Georgia. Parts come from various places. The engine is Japanese.

The compacts are made by Ishikawajima Shibaura. Who also makes engines for Caterpillar/Perkins.

The Class I compacts (TC18 through 24) are built by Shibaura of Japan for NH. The TC-30 is also built by Shibaura, but it can be purchased under the Shibaura label in other parts of the world. The Class II & III Compacts have Shibaura engines, but are built by NH in Georgia. JD has nearly the identical arrangement with Yanmar with the smallest tractors built in Japan & the larger ones built in the USA.

The difference from JD/yanmar and NH/shibaura is that NH actually holds a stake in the shibaura company. They have since the days when the compacts where still Fords. This of course might have changed lately and I have not heard about it.

Wow,
What a surprise. A couple years ago when I purchased tractor, I was told by management that the same mother company (Fiat) that owned us (Comau North America) also owned New Holland after Ford. I had to wait almost 6 months while arguing was going on over getting a discount. Well, Fiat voted it down. So I never got the discounting. But now I'm wondering who does what..... It seems weird that Fiat wouldn't stay "In -house" for motors /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
