... $60,000 earning 7% compounded annually for 30 years will give you a tad over $450,000 at retirement age. ...
Yeah, but in 30 years a new truck will be $500,000. Good thing you saved up for it!

'course by then we'll be driving Buicks to the moon...

Back on topic... I could use a work truck but there ain't no way I'm buying a new one at these prices. So this is what I'm looking at, should be strong enough to pull my Kioti.

Opinions on this choice welcome ... wiser than buying new or a maintenance headache?

I don't really know about parts availability, if needed, but in my opinion, you couldn't go wrong with that one.

I'd take a peek at it as it looks good in the add. Mileage is very low for a 1990. Make sure you check the transmission oil for color and smell.

Here's what a new truck costs: Stickered for $62K Bought it for $55K. Brand new 2015 F150 Platinum. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/related-topics/426995-who-can-afford-new-truck-img_1843-jpg"/>

Very nice! I wished our local dealerships would come down off sticker that much. They act like your trying to steal one of their kids when you offer them less.

I remember years ago, a car salesman was being particularly difficult. He went through his practiced speech about what a great deal he was offering. I looked at him and said .... I enjoy sex as much as anyone. I just wasn't prepared to have it here at the car lot today.
