who all uses synthetic oil?

i believe my 4410 calls for 15w40. going to change it this weekend and was wondering how many of you all use synthetic oil?

At my 50 hr. maint. schedule, I plan on going to Rotella T synthetic. The manual states that CJ-4 is not suitable for this tractor, but another thread I came across http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...37502-cj-4-rated-engine-oils.html#post1594582 said Kubota has not updated their manuals to include the CJ-4 rating. I have used Rotella in everything else. It's a heavy duty oil designed especially for hotter running diesel engines, but I run it in all of my engines, from mowers on up to my vehicles, gas or diesel.

I run Archer-Kendall 15/40 Dino oil (non-synthetic)in my Duramax and do oil analysis every oil change and it is perfect..Syth and soot have something to do with it I think..Not sure. I have forgotten.

Hiya,

I use Amsoil in every gasoline, Diesel or propane fueled machine I have or currently own since 1978. Same goes for transmissions, hydros, differentials and transfer cases. Never any issues, nuff said.

As I stated on another thread!

I run it now in all my stuff, Trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, and anything that has a crank or gear case.:thumbsup:

I have no idea what John Deere put in my new 3720. But it was a quart low on delivery. I put in the same Mobil 1 0W40 ECF that's spec'd for my Mercedes turbo diesel. That's what I plan to put in the 3720 at it's first scheduled oil change as well.

My local JD dealer gives me a great deal on JD 0w-40w synthetic. It's cheaper than Mobil 1 and Rotella T at Wally's.

I have switched every "HydroCarbon" burner I (we) own over to it!

I am using Amsoil 15w40 in the engine, I am also using the Amsoil synthetic in the transmission/hydraulic and front axle..

over on bob-is-the-oil-guy the JD synthetic engine oil has gotten good reviews, and is priced competitively..
