Im just curious how many people own a bx1850 on here. Im wanting to know
your experience with them, good or bad. Will it do eveything you expected, have you found anything that it wouldn't do that a bx2350 or 24 you think would? Thanks in advance.

I have owned a BX23 since 2004.
A year ago I bought 2 BX1500's.
I really think I could have done everything with a BX1500 that I did with the BX23 except the BH jobs.
The BX 1850 is like wise capable.

I've owned my bx1850 for almost 2 years now and I am happy with it. It has done anything that I thought that it should be capable of and more. I use a loader, 5' rear blade, 4' brush mower, and the 54" finish mower. I don't think that you would see much of a difference between the 1850 and the 2350. The only reason I ever considered the 2350 was the 60" mower deck over the 54" deck. The main limiting factor with the bx series is the light weight of the tractor not the hp. If I was to spend any more money then the 1850 I would step up to the b series for the added weight and ground clearance. Now the bx24 is a different story. The bh adds a whole lot of other things that your tractor can do but it also comes with a price $$$. There is also the new bx series bx25 2660 etc. with the new refinements but they also cost more. Just my experience and 2 cents hope it helps.

The real world work capability differences of all BX models short of the BH is negligible. If you need or want to run implements requiring higher pto HP then you would opt for a machine with more HP. As been stated previously, you would need to step up a line to really change that equation. Options and work capacities increase with each line of tractor. As a homeowner, I am sure if I could conceive of every possible task now or in the future that I want my machine to perform, the tractor would need to grow exponentially. The reality, however, is you should buy what will give you the most return for the dollars you spend. The BX line is quite capable but each individual needs to assess that equation unless you can afford multiple machines.

I love my 1850. I bought mine because it was the smallest (last year) real tractor I could buy to replace my large Cub Cadet Garden tractor that had the hydro lift and three point hitch. The twin cylinder kohler engine was eating me up in gas and I knew I wanted a diesel. Overall the size of my 1850 was not much larger than my 1811 Cub and the capabilities were far superior. I was stuck between needing a large garden tractor and a small tractor. So far I've not been dissapointed and I can do everything I wanted to do. My only complaint is my local rental companies or the dealership I bought the tractor from do not have any attachments to rent. For all the small kubota tractors sold in my area, no one has anything to support them rental wise. h

I have owed a bx1850 for a year come November. If I had to do it all over again I'd go Green or waited until the bx1860 came out, The poor workmanship/quality is not what I expected from a Kubota. My dealer has apologised numerous times for all the problems I have encountered. I based my purchasing decision on my in laws older b series kubota. The in laws b series is twice the machine the bx is.
