Need to decide between these two...

A) Husqvarna YTH2242T, with sealed 42" deck and 2 anti-scalp wheels, 22hp B & S Intek V-twin cylinder engine, bolted frame and 2 year limited warranty

 or

B) Cub Cadet LT 1042, with greaseable 42" deck and 4 anti-scalp wheels, 19hp Kohler Courage single cylinder, welded frame and 3 year limited warranty

 each have the same price, the Husqvarna's deck lifts more easily, but the Cub's easier to see over the hood.

So, which, would you prefer and why?

Thanks!!!

Cub Cadet!
WHY?
main reasons are the welded frame and it doesn't have a Briggs and Stratton engine. I posted this before I also saw the longer warranty and the 4 rollers instead of two.

This isn't exactly apples-to-apples, but given those choices...I'd rather have two cylinders doing the work than one. I have a 6 year old Briggs twin in an AYP lawn tractor and it has not given me one problem. A little preventative maintenance and some TLC and either machine would serve you well.

Husqvarna = AYP?
Cub Cadet = MTD?

Thanks for the input, so far. This is a level, not so smooth, 1.5 acre lot in the hills of W. PA. Cub seems to be the preference of folks I've spoke to around here. Having a deck with grease fittings and 4 vs. 2 anti-scalp wheels seem to be the clincher. Though neither is held in much esteem, as, even at $1600.00 (may be chump change to some, but not when you are 78 and on a fixed income) they are both considered bottom feeders. Kohler vs. Briggs seems to be a moot point as one seems as good as the other.
