A few years ago I picked up a barely used Wallenstien BX42 ( I think ) ...It does a decent job on wet pieces up to 4". Its horrible on pine needles to small twigs.. Putting these in will most certainly cause it to clog.

Remember, Tom, a BX42S is a chipper - not a shredder. My BX42 did not like green pine needles - too much pitch. Eventually the chute would plug. I solved this by letting the piles dry for a year prior to chipping. I feed green, just cut, pine trees to my BX62S now, all day, and I've yet to plug the chute. Over the five years I've owned the '62 that represents 5000 to 6000 small green pines. And that's without plugging the chute even once.
