Which Tooth Bar should I get for digging into topsoil piles and clearing??

I wanted to reach out to the experts in this forum for some advice on which Tooth Bar to purchase for my CK2610. I have a couple of mountains of stockpiled Topsoil, that have been sitting for around 2 years now, so they're probably quite compacted. I'm thinking I'll need a toothier to loosen everything up. I'm considering a standard design tooth Bar from either Titan or everything attachments or how about the Piranha tooth bar by BXpanded? Any input on this would be appreciated! Have you tried pushing into them with your bucket? A toothbar is for digging. Unless the piles are really hardened, I doubt you need a tooth bar to push into them, particularly if you wait until after a rain.

I personally like the longer teeth for ripping up old piles of dirt. I first kill the vegetation then sink the teeth straight down into the top of the pile and back up dragging the broken up clumps down over the pile. Then it's easy to get a full bucket.

Those pics are a little past due aren稚 they :laughing: The ex3200 was a great machine, had it for several years and then sold it in 2015.... regretted doing so ever since. I worked the tires off of her and she never gave me a lick of trouble. I will be sure to send some pics of my new machine soon!

I tried with a friend of mine’s tractor last fall and this pile is tougher than the pyramids of Giza! We had to use a backhoe to break it up, but I won’t have the luxury of a backhoe on my machine...it wasn’t in the budget.

I would go with a tooth bar, it just makes getting into a pile way easier and when you don't need it just take it off. I find once I put mine on I rarely take it off. It will also allow you to carry bit more in your bucket BUT it will also cut down on the bucket breakout force a bit too....

Never use a Piranha;but I know my tooth-bar makes for a great digging tool.
