Which rotary cutter? Kubota LX2610

Rear PTO is 20HP.

I'm looking at two models:
RCR1860 = 10g steel, slip clutch, 2" brush
RCR1260 = 12g steel, slip clutch, 1" brush

I'll be mowing a 4 acre field twice a year. There's some brush, nothing big to remove. I'm not sure which one to go with, I'd like to go with the large cutting diameter, but there's about a $600 difference.

Thoughts?

If you're at all concerned about the brunch, cut it with loppers or yank it out; it's really a one-time concern as any regrowth is going to be small next year.

IMO the 1260 will handle very occasional 2" brush just fine (I've got one - auction buy $1k). It doesn't like the occasional 5-7" rock, but other than a vocal complaint there hasn't been any repercussions that I can see.

I think if you're mowing brush all day you'd want a heavier duty one, but for mostly field, the light duty is fine.

If you're just mowing a four acre field twice a year, the 1260 should suffice. As you will be knocking it all down frequently enough, it shouldn't grow too thick for the 1260 to handle.

Can't speak to the Ironcraft 1205, but I do have a 1248 myself and it does my fields with mainly grass and some brush when I want it to.
