Planters Which Planter?

Local guy has a couple of cut down 2 row no till planters for sale and I could use one and would like opinion on them- one is a 7100 JD in good shape with only one seed plate each for beans and other is a IH with offset coulters with 5 sets of gears for each unit. He has parts for the IH as that is what he farmed with for years.
Just curious to which would be best for a few prepared acres. I plan on doing some cultivating as spraying herbicide on some things like Sunflower doesn't work.

Got the IH 900 Planter with 2 sets gears. Need a manual for it if any one has a download or knows where I can get one.
