Which model Kubota is close to JD 790

I also saw a new Massey 1529 the other day, and was a little surprised to find that in the same price range. The one I looked at comes with a syncro shuttle transmission which would be better for loader work than the sliding gear transmission on the 790.

Do you remember what price the 1529 had on it?

The dealer I stopped at isn't known for the best prices, and I'm pretty sure he said that it was $16,900 with the loader, and syncro shuttle transmission. The tractor looks a little bigger than a Kubota L3400, but specs about the same if I remember correctly. It looks like a strong tractor in that range, with the available backhoe being the weakest link perhaps. Comfortable, and well laid out I thought. I've heard that the 1532 which is also available with hst can be had for about the same price. I'll try to attach a link to the product info...

Thanks, I was just trying to get a ball park kind of figure. I live way the heck on the other coast and know the prices differ quite a bit depending on where you shop anyway.
