The fresh, always-something-new-here and up to date, chatty, thought provoking and original "Good Morning" or the timeworn, boring, jaded, near obsolete and run of the mill "Rt--Polo--Cyril---the chronicles...."

My vote is overwhelmingly in favor of the former. 'Nuff said.

I find I lose interest in long running threads and prefer shorter ones. Part of it is because I may think I have a comment to add but concerned it may have already been covered. Or worse, I already commented and forgot!

Can you be a little more specific? What does "Rt--Polo--Cyril---the chronicles...." mean? Are you saying that you like "gossip" threads better than "technical" threads?

Personally, I'm here to talk about tractors and generally avoid "chatty" threads where people tend to say a lot without saying anything. If I wanted "social" media, I'd go to Facebook. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting to know people if we share common interests, I just like to do things a bit differently.

Because you don't need 50 posts to view "Good Morning"

If you are reading this thread, that at least shows some interest in the chatty threads.

But this is not a chatty thread, it's an opinion thread. There's a big difference.

The "Good Morning" thread gets my vote. It's kinda like running into all the regulars at the barber shop or general store and getting caught up on the goings on :D.

And it's funner to postwhore on, with juicy links now and then from the resident pervert, who by courtesy will remain nameless.

It seems like I enjoy reading the projects forums since about half of them is a very long running thread. building a pond by eddie, at home in the woods by obed, terra dome by sam walton, and 3r home and barn projects to name a few favorites. Basically I like the building projects that has unique things in it.

I like threads that are where thay belong. The "Chronicles" is on the Porch and that is where chatty threads belong. "Good Morning" is in the wrong place.

If ya don't like "Chronicles" just avoid it all together. Personally I'm waiting for the "lawn roller" thread to take off. I could see that one being a real hoot.

You sure moan about stuff a lot, don't ya?

My favorite long thread is the jokes thread. I haven't read either of the others. When I read a thread I normally read all of it and the long ones just take to long for me.
