Which Landscaping Attachments?

They come in different widths (and thus weights), just make sure your 3 pt is rated for the weight and go. Not a lot of resistance unless you're really moving existing hard soil.

THey do a great job of preping existing areas of thin turf, will beat up the open spaces while leaving the turf, beaten up a bit, but fine. If you want to remove material, you scrape it off with the grader (frame).

How much does a 3 in 1 run and where's a good place to get one? Will it level an area of packed fill pretty good as well as spread top soil? (I live about 25 miles west of Boston.)

Thanks.

I have no idea how much one would cost today. As I said, mine is very old. I just picked up a 6' Howse landscape rake yesterday that is like new. I have posted pictures of each so you can see the differences. The tines on the York are smaller, but I don't know if this is better or worse. I picked up the Howse because the York is originally set up for a Cat 0 tractor, and even though I was able to get the Cat 1 attachment bar, I don't have a welder to attach a new top link bracket to the top of the arch and I need to use the rake this week. Figure that I can always get most of my money back for the Howse at some later date.

I have used mine to spread the loam and level it, but it takes some practice to get it level and smooth. The rear wheels help to give you some more control. One of my rear rake wheels is broken off and this is another repair waiting for a welder. I have used the scarifier only once, but the tractor didn't have enough power to pull it, so I can't speak about how well it will work. I hope to have it fixed by spring so I can try it on the back of the BX22. I know that the BX shouldn't have any problem pulling it.

So it sounds as if the 3-way would level out the gravel fill thats there now and spread loam for seeding later...right? Where might I buy one and what range do they cost? Thanks for the input.

By the way, my wife loved the idea of me getting the BX-22 and any attachments I wanted. Not only did she make a list of projects that "need" to be done, but it makes it real hard for me to say no when she wants to buy something... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
