I'm trying to gauge what model this tractor might be from knowing which loader it has on it. It's not the most efficient method, but the seller is kind of :confused2: combined with lazy when it comes to selling this tractor which makes me :smiley_aafz:. I haven't went to look at it yet, but I probably will tomorrow.

Here's the picture:

The seller says the loader is a LA500. The side panels are off of the tractor in the picture which makes me think they thought the tractor was a LA500 model.

Any help/guesses would be appreciated.

L3010? Five hundred series loaders were on the mid-sized Kubotas.

It could be either a Kubota LA500 or a BF500 front end loader that came with the L2850 tractor.

The LA 500 loaders were used on L-2850 tractors, They were rated at 27 PTO horsepower.

Thanks for the help on this so far. The seller is out of town after noon until Monday so it's looking like next week for a possible look-see.

Did you get it?
Not bad for $6K.

I haven't even gone to look at it yet. I had a few emails since the post of this thread and one of them the seller was trying to put the pressure on me to come look at it by telling me that there were two interested parties coming to look at it tonight (whatever night that was) and one of them had looked at the tractor before. The other thing the seller told me was that all of the hydraulic fluid leaked out of it while it sat for a year on the trailer. He claimed "old tractors leak hydraulic fluid over time". My Dad's MF 1100 (from the 60's) always seemed to have hydraulic fluid in it. There was a leak in a hose here and there, but it didn't leak out when the tractor was off.

The tractor was still on Craigslist a couple days ago so apparently it was a dog. I just looked and right now the item is deleted.

I'm going to keep looking. Getting into a project isn't something I'm interested in unless the price is right.

All tractors do leak hydraulic fluid. Mine has probably leaked an ounce in three years :)
