Which is more expensive Hydrostatic Transmission or DynaQPS?

I'm trying to evaluate the prices that I've been given from two different dealers on a couple of tractors which are virtually identical except for the transmissions. One has the DynaQPS while the other has the Hydrostatic transmission. So which costs more?

I think that I would be equally happy with either transmission as I am used to using a lever on the column to change directions anyway, so I'd be good to go there. Plus I can change gears on the fly without clutching which would be handy as well. Lastly since even with a hydro I'd still have to stop to change ranges, I don't see that the DynaQPS would be any less easy to use. Plus I think for straight up loader work I can see some advantages to the DynaQPS as I think I'd like using the foot throttle in that case, but the differences would be negligible. So any opinions on one vs. the other? The tractor will mostly be used for mowing, with a little loader work and a little box blade work, etc. Once my new home site is set, I would likely only be using the loader for snow removal with only the occasional use as a wheelbarrow. You don't have to change ranges much on a hydro. That's the best feature of a hydro. It's better for you to test drive to see what you like the most. I have had my hydro tractor three years now. I did some loader work on the driveway today. For me a hydro is worth it's weight in gold. It's so much easier and quicker. Worth a few extra dollars.

They should price out about the same. Though you don't have to, you should change ranges. You shouldn't be in high range creeping along for example. Your building heat in the hydro. You'll also get get torque in a lower gear.
