Which is better?

I'm building a hyd reservoir and I see that there are stamped and forged weld in tank flanges. Which is the better to use?

I'm making the assumption that you are talking about a holding reservoir for a hydraulic system. We have a dozen such reservoirs here and all the fittings are stampings. Again, the reservoirs I'm talking about are for hydraulic systems and are vented to atmosphere.
