I have had a Bradco heavy duty grapple for the past ~2 years. No problems, only goodness. Best implement I own by far. Very heavy gauge steel, and it has more zerks on it than the entire rest of the tractor!!

I've got the 66" standard duty ANBO root grapple on our L-39, it weighs about 850 pounds and has 1/2" steel rakes, most of the frame is 3/8". It is plenty heavy duty and the hydraulic cylinders are massive with 1/2" hydraulic lines.

I would get the heavy duty one myself, if your FEL can handle the load, just get a short one, you don't need one 72" wide, I think even a 48" wide one would be plenty adequate in 98% of operations.

Hazmat,
Here is yet another option. Eel River Steel Works I would call these a combination rock bucket / grapple bucket. The company is located in northeast Indiana. I saw them at the Fort Wayne Farm Show and thought they looked pretty nice for the price. This guy hand makes them in his welding shop. We have had welding work done in his shop on our farm equipment, he does a very nice job.

I thought you might be interested since the starting price for a 60", 66" or 72" grapple bucket with 6" tine spacing is $1525. Or, you can opt for a bucket with 4" tine spacing for more $ of course. You can also add teeth / cutting edge or whatever.

Hope that helps, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's a another I would highly recommend. RakeMaster - The Most Versatile Clean-Up Rake
I've attached some photos of my 5' one on my TC33da HST. Love it and it's tuff. Also thru in one of the guy who builds the rakes with his JD and I think this is a 6' on it.

I have a TC55DA clearing 21 acres of heavy brush and rock and absolutely love my grapple that I purchased from RootGrapple.com ......The gentleman that I dealt with was extremely prompt and honest and makes a superior product for the best price that I found. I've worked it hard now for probably a year and it's great. I purchased the 5' due to weight and tight area issues. I actually had him add additional tines to the bottom for fear of bigger rocks and stuff falling out but I realized soon that wasn't necessary at all. I think I gave approx $1,800 for mine. It was their heavy duty one. It's the best implement and most used i've ever owned.

I looked at the Anbo but ended up buying the BoDozer (http://www.borgford.com/). I talked directly to Dale Borgford numerous times before buying the unit and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was the "Bo" of the Anbo nameplate before splitting with a partner.
His grapple cost a little less than the Anbo product. FWIW, my grapple will probably be my most used implement. I have lots of trees and brush to clear and it's terrifically useful.

I just bought a NH 45a and had thme mount an ATI grapple on it. It saves me a lot of time and need on getting on and off the tractor to load brush and logs. Note that although it is a bolt on, they also put some spot welds on the bar to the bucket. I don't think its as strong as the other talked about here but it works for me.
