We have been WAY behind on rain... Our ponds were little more than mudholes. So, when the rain started coming (5 inches!) we needed all we could to go in the pond.

'cept it was going past it!. So right before the big storm, MrsRR races out there and puts a nice trench at the bottem of a big hill to redirect the flow. I went out during the downpour, only find out that it wasn't handling the flow. So in the middle of the biggest rain since Noah's I procede to widen and deepen her nice trench. Boy the water was a torrent, and made a significant rise in the pond.

No one is going to convince me that owning my own hoe isn't justified...

A middle buster is handy for making a quick runoff ditch. But maybe not as fun as a hoe in the rain. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, but I can't imagine trying to do it in the middle of a small river!
