Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

LOL
I had a customer complaining about that very point being "sticky"..
I said "Did you grease it", he said "What?"
I said "I take that as a NO!"
He greased it and worked it.....mucho better!!

Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

I know, I know, the 3ph pivot. Lame one that overflows out towards the front but I would think it should make it direct grease to the left side or maybe another on the left.

This is great fun.

Now the toughy is the one on the clutch pivot zerc. I can't get it so it is not being greased /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

Where is there a diagram of all the grease fittings on the 30?

Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

Take the straight fitting out and put in an angle one.

Your answer is very close......just needs a little fine tuning.

This grease fitting is accessed from the rear of the tractor. It is on the right side (right as referenced from sitting in the drivers seat). This grease fitting actually has to do with the linkage that attaches to the handle that raises and lowers the 3 point hitch. Hence, if your 3 point hitch handle is stiff or sticky, this is the fitting to grease. This linkage does not cross over to the left side so, no grease fitting is necessary on the left.

In the attached picture you'll see the grease fitting almost centered in the pic. It sits to the right and a bit behind the right 3 point lift arm.

Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

OK I wasn't sure what it lubed but I thought perhaps the main pivot shaft. So what is the orange colored rod that looks like it might support your right side fender? Maybe a bungee cord?

Why are you using the lowest hole for the Top link pin?

That's a cord to a light bulb used to shed some light in the area I was photographing. I bought the cord to match the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No particular reason...

Re: Where\'s this Grease Fitting?

That looks like it's on the front end steering. What I'm interested in finding is the one to the left of the differential when viewed from the rear as shown in the manual. Can't find it. Could only find 2 on the rear of the machine - 3ph lift arm linkage and right arm leveling crank.

Sure enought, the clutch and brake zerks are a little tought to reach. But, I got them anyway.
