We buy from Jung Seeds. So far, excellent germination and fast service.
I would Google for local feed and seed outlet; that's where I always bought my seed and bedding plants. They are usually sold in larger quantities and in bulk also...they will usually also have other things like fertilizer, insecticides, inoculum for legumes, etc.I'm wanting to plant a small but not MICRO garden. I looked at Burpees, 20 pole bean seeds (2 oz) for $5. To me that's a ripoff.
I'm not looking for pounds of seeds. But the prices certainly seem dear.
Around here, Southern States has plenty of seeds, seed potatoes in February, sweet potato slips by June 1, etc. Generally, Farm Bureau may have stores with similar stuff.I'm wanting to plant a small but not MICRO garden. I looked at Burpees, 20 pole bean seeds (2 oz) for $5. To me that's a ripoff.

A local hardware store talked me into trying "JADE BUSH BEANS" last year.
He said as long as you pick the beans, they keep producing,,
I figured what the heck,,
Well, after trying the JADE beans, we never ate one of the Blue Lake Bush Beans that were planted right next to the Jade.
The Jade's started having beans sooner, and were still producing long after the Blue Lakes were all dead,,
I only mention this,, because, I already got my seeds for this year!!![]()
