I know it sounds stupid but I an having a tough time finding a place to mount my com. liscense plate on the TC40DA .
Sure could use some suggestions from ya' all on a decent soulition, I was thinking of welding a bracket to the one holding the SMV emblem and moving it to the side to muont the plate next to it.(side by side) But it doesn't fit to good and is hard to see.
My next thought is the top of the cab but it is plastic , as well as the fuel tank under the back window.....
Like I said it sounds simple , but not for me ....
Thank you for any ideas or help you can lend, I could sure use it

I forgot to mention the cab roof overhang on the rear is the spot I would like to best put it ..... was wondering if there is a way to attach it without drilling holes through it, thanks again all, no one is better than the gang here

Can you explain a little more on what you want; I have no idea as to what a com plate is.

I went around the ridge on the number plate with double sided emblem mounting tape and simply stuck it on the (inside) of the lower rear window (the front is the same ). They are out of harms way and keep clean .

(please excuse the ratchet straps on the flail fella's , i broke the end off the sideshift ram that morning ).

You might want to check with local authority on whether it needs to be lit up at night. Some authorities require plates to be lluminated if the tractor is used at night on roads.

How about on the top-back of the seat? You could use some small sheet metal screws. I'm not sure if there is enough room or if the back of the seat is visible above the fuel tank, but it might be.

qdave1 , I am talking about a liscense plate like the one on your car , but for tractors to be on the road around here that aren't used for ag so ... YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PLATE THAT SAYS SPC-COMM for special commerical to go on the road around here.
I like the back seat idea but do not think it is good for me since I usually through my forearm up there quite a bit when backing up to garrage doors and cars while plowing .
I thought about iron horse's idea but the cops bust balls if they can't read it,
Jackfr , youre right about the light , its supposed to be lit up just like a car but I will take the ticket if they want to go that far.
I am thinking about either taking the two rear bolts out of the plate on top of the cab and just running a thin piece of metal off each one to the plate.
Or doing the same thing under the overhang of the cab as there is two bolts with about a 1/2 inch of thread showing .
I don't know ... now I am starting to confuse myself trying to describe it on the computer , sorry for the lousy description guys .
I 'LL mess with it tonight if I have time , I have to get my better half to help me post some pictures because that would help I'm sure . Aw well don't sweat it , I 'll figure something out

if you have space on the glass at the top of the back window in your cab use double sticky foam tape and tape the plate to the top part of the window (I would use a piece on all 4 sides)

Reason I brought the light up is I have been stopped and ticketed for this in the past. Depends on the cop though. Here in Mass it's considered a moving violation get three of them in a year and they can pull your license and increase your insurance. Depending how it works there it might be cheaper in the long run to pick up a plate hanger with light then you won't have to worry about it.

You could fabricate a bracket the mounts between the rear running lights/turn signals and the factory mounting bracket. You might even be able to incorporate a light wired into the factory running lights. It will stick out the side a little ways so you will have to be careful to not wipe it out in tight quarters.
