Tires Where to buy tires?

Anyone know of a good place, maybe mail order to buy compact tractor tires? I like the Carlisle Trac Chief that comes on the JD 2210. They are R4 tires in 26X12X12 rear and 18X18.5X10 front. I have R3 tires and want something a little more aggressive.

I like my R1s also. I had wanted R4s but I got the R1s by mistake. I'm very glad for the mistake. I'll take all the traction I can get. No problem on the lawn as long as its not wet and I don't spin them.

Miller Tire is also highly spoken of, they have a web site - which I don't know off hand. Personally I buy locally from the ag tire dealers, they are a dime a dozen 'here' but doesn't help you 'there'.

As to which type, Ag tires if you want traction, turf tires if all you do is run on the lawn mowing, industrial/construction are a bit of a comprimise but are really meant to work on pavement. Which you get depends on what you want to do. Me, I like traction in dirt. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
