When you're doing the greasing of the 3 pedal shaft zerks on a L3800 where does the grease come out when you're pumping grease into the middle zerk?

All the other ones I can tell when to stop but not the middle one. I could hear above it some sounds likes grease was coming out but I couldn't see it.

Thanks.

Sorry I don't know your tractor so can't answer the question. However when greasing a machine, it is bad practice to keep doing so until you can see the grease - over greasing attacts dust into the joints causing the lubricant to actually work as a cutting / grinding paste.

If you grease the machine at regular intervals in accordance with the operators manual, 3-4 pumps of the grease gun should be plenty - same prinicipal as if you had an auto-lub unit fitted.

The only exception I make to this rule is on machines which are already badly worn - where the benefit of the additional grease outweighs the risk...
