Where do you park/store your tractor?

I also have some probably-misplaced notion that I might get less push-back on permitting for an essentially open pavillion, versus yet another enclosed garage. I already have five.
I doubt it. It's still a "building" so if you have some limitation on total square footage or number of "detached accessory buildings", it's still going to count. All depends on the zoning ordinance.

As for rainwater calcs, if it has a roof, it's also going to be considered hard surface area.

I do think the structure you posted is very attractive and would look go well with your home.

I have 3 outbuildings and am considering a 4th. I would love a single large storage building but here, anything over 1000 sq' requires a formal building permit, subject to county regulations & inspections. Also requires licensed contractors to do the work. Anything less than 1000 sq' requires only a $25 land use permit and I can do pretty much what I like.

Around here, open sided structures are treated the same as enclosed buildings. Of course this varies with local county & township regulations, so YMMV.

You sound like me... always building for what I needed yesterday, instead of tomorrow. :ROFLMAO:
I though I did okay when having a 30% larger garage built than what I had in CA.
However, I severely underestimated the impact of losing two 40' containers.

I'm working on it, but for now there are only two cars, a 3500, and the M6040 in there. And that's in a garage built with drive-through capability for a Pete and trailer, plus at least seven or eight cars.

Of course, it would help a lot if I stopped buying more vehicles, and coming up with new ideas for changing what I have. Both vehicles and land.

I posted earlier in this thread, but I had no picture. So, here's my parking situation, gravel floor and no door.
