Pull the fuse ( circuit breaker); the pto light should be on even though the pto is in the off position with key on. Have you tested the key switch?

We are talking about the fuse second from the passenger side correct?
I replaced it but it hasn't blown again. After It didn't blow again I then swapped it out for the circuit breaker.
Neither one of these allowed the tractor to turn over when the key was turned. BTW My PTO light is not on on my dash. SO I don't think my issue is the PTO switch.

Merry Christmas, Bob. Since you have two threads that are very similar, I'm only going to answer this one.

The light not coming on points to either a bad PTO safety switch as we talked about before, or a PTO Safety Start Relay which we have not discussed. It appears your relay may have dirty contacts. That relay is also in line with the Neutral Start Relay that is providing the power to your starter solenoid. The PTO Safety Start Relay is a little odd in that it must be energized when the PTO is OFF. Only when it is energized, will the starter work. When the Relay is de-energized, it's contacts provide a path for the PTO light to illuminate. The PTO switch opens when you engage the PTO and that de-energizes this relay to provide a ground path to the light. That's why when fuse #2 blows, the PTO light comes ON. The reason is that the relay cannot energize as it normally does and leaves a ground path for the light. So I think your PTO relay is faulty and causing the light to stay out and the starter not to work.

I don't think your problem is the PTO switch because the light would be ON. If the light is not ever on, the only thing it can be is the relay...or of course, there is a chance the light bulb it burned out. You always want to check to see if the bulb is still good in this case.

The PTO relay is in a group of 6 small relays under the left-hand cowling. It is the middle one on the bottom row of three relays.

The mid-PTO is an option. It is not on every tractor. However, it works in the seat safety switch circuit and should cause the same issues as the seat switch (engine cranks but will not start).

The cycling of the 540 and 600 rpm lights at startup is normal. That's a good indication that your dash panel is functioning properly.
