Hi all,
New BX23S owner here. I have already found some great info on this forum, thanks!

I tried searching multiple keywords, but I cannot figure out where this O-ring came from, or if it was just laying around and fell off when wiping down?

So I was wiping off residual grease around the top of the swing cylinder pin on the BH boom and saw this O-ring fall to the ground. Is it important? Do I need to replace it? Where does it go?

I believe it was put on to keep paint from seeping into the cylinder, not necessary now.

Thanks! I was hoping it was not an issue. I did find a version of workshop repair manual and when reading about removing, rebuilding that cylinder I did not see any type of seal or O-ring in that area. I'll also call the dealer to see what they say.

Yep, we all had them and they all "rot" and fall off. No problem, nothing to see here.
