Where can you find worm gears?

I’ve got a hi-ranger bucket truck with a gear box that’s torn up. It’s got a gear with teeth knocked off that I can’t find. Does anyone have any idea where I could get one?

Two suggestions. First, McMaster-Carr has a good selection of worm gears.

Second, when I was refurbishing an old milling machine I wrote to the company that made one of the broken gears and was surprised that they still make the exact same part, it was a generic gear used widely.

So if you can find a manufacturer's name on the old gear maybe they can help you out.
