When your tractor sits idle

Due to a variety of reasons, my tractor set unused for about a month. Outside. When I went to use it last weekend, I saw that I have had some "squatters" under the seat. Oh well, at least it was used for something.

Nice. When I use to store my IH2500B outside, something would drag rabbits into the cab(there were openings near the foot wells) and eat them on the seat. YUK!. Also, several times, I got into the cab and saw a mouse run towards the front. I'd start brush hogging and about a half hour later I'd notice a mouse sitting on the arm of the FEL looking at me. Sometimes they'd just sit there and go along for the ride. Had one sit there for darn near a half an hour. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've had wasp make a nest under the hood of my old 8N if it set idle for a week or two. When you start
using the tractor and get nailed by one of these guys in the hand or leg you know it. Now I check
before I start, a good spray with hornet and wasp killer helps for a while.

I hope the birds left the nest before you got back to using your tractor.

Well, either they left the nest or had not yet used it. I didn't see any evidence of use (shell fragments, feathers, etc.). Maybe they decided that NH was not the brand for them.
