Phase one complete,

For a sense of scale for the pic, that pipe is 80ft long, and from pipe to top at the end its about 8ft

Good job... bet it helps to have sand instead of rock, like I do:eek:

I don't get it. Surely you didn't excavate that huge trench to bury that pipe...

Nothing is quite as satisfying as getting the job done with what you have available. Nicely done!!!!

Oh to dig in sand like that, what a dream! Even our sand pits have rocks in them to foil easy digging!

I guess the whole stroy would have been helpfull. Im leveling my entire yard, which is about 1.2 acres. This section of pipe is to replace a section that has to be excavated. Ive allready started on that. Ill see about getting some pics posted when I get home. Ive allready moved hundreds of loads of dirt, and it sure does take a long time with a tractor, but the entire reason for me buying a tractor was to do this.

Nice. I'd do it if I had sand like that instead of clay. I sure don't mind backhoeing a trench for most anything rather than doing it by hand unless it's gonna make a mess. In this case, it seems to be a work in progress so no worries.

Here are some pics of what Ive got dont so far, and I still have a long way to go. After I get the yard dont then the drive way will be next, and Ill have to run new pipe along the top of the ground while I dig up the old one and excavate about 300 feet.

O yea, allmost forgot. Its not all sand, there is clay in the hills and yes it isnt quite so easy to dig.
