Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I worked for about 20 minutes then rechecked the torque on all 5. Everything was holding.

I was almost finished with my drive way and a neighbor stopped and asked for help. I did his driveway also. I just don't understand why some people move to the country and then not buy the equipment needed for living out here.

Thanks again
Jeff

Yep , then they want to mow 5 acres and maintain a 1000 ft. drive . And budget 2000$ for a tractor .

My neighbor at the farm is that way. I do a lot of tractor work for them. She's now widowed. Living on 40 acres of pasture/timber with only a lawn mowing tractor. I had a recent conversation with her about buying a tractor. Something in the CUT 30HP range with an FEL and MMM. Our local JD dealer had 3, each different size, starting with a 1025R and going up. I told her to go visit the dealer and touch each of them so she'd know what size actually is. Then come talk to me and I'd try to guide her...... The other day she said she was buying one. She was happy because it had the same size MMM as her current mowing tractor which she is trading in. 54". I had no comment. She has went and purchased the 1025R tractor I'm guessing. Can't imagine you could get a 2 series or 3 series with a 54" deck. So now she's making payments on a $17K (?) SCUT that still can't handle maintaining the 40 acre property. But then, I'm sure she doesn't understand this as a problem since she can ask me to brush cut her pastures..... Which I'll do..... Then I'll complain about it here on TBN. :)
