Wheel differences?

I have a custom-built ATV that uses a 4/4 bolt pattern, I have got fairly aggressive ATV tires that are 26 x 12.5 x 12. Being that the bolt pattern is more specific to golf carts, is there any real difference in the rims. Would there be any problem putting ATV tires on the golf cart rims. I know this is slightly off-topic for the forum, but there always seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people here.
