Usually my US made Schrade 340T or my Leatherman Micra. Been carrying a pocket knife since I was 11 or 12.

For everyday tote, I have a SOG Flash II. I beat the Hades out of it regularly.
For "formal redneck get-togethers", I tote an Al Mar SERE 2000 with matte black, non-serrated blade . Extremely well made knife, but it isn't for anyone who puts "light-weight" at the top of their preference list. If you want a knife that you can sharpen to scalpel-like performance, this knife's for you!

I have Gerber, Case, etc. brand knives that I will carry when not working. When I go outside to work in the yard or farms I carry a $2 locking throwaway pocket knife. If I carry a good one I will either lose it or break it. If I break one of the cheapies there isn't much lost. And they are kinda like boomerangs, you can't seem to lose them.
