What's wrong with Canadians?

Around here they report the forecasted highs/lows and then state what wind chills could be. It's not hard to sort it out.

Everything that I cook calls for beer.
Oh, do you mean IN the recipe? :p
I used to drink cheap stuff and lots of it. Since I've cut back I enjoy a premium beer or two. My favorite is Sam Adams... regular. I don't understand why anybody would make a good beer, then ruin it with orange peels or nutmeg. Bleahhho_O
Sam Adams regular is the best lager you can buy around here. Microbreweries are everywhere. I drink beer because I am thirsty. I don't want to have to chew it.

If I think of what is wrong with Canadians, my big question is, "What is with putting caramel in your whiskey?" I can't stand Canadian whiskey.

There are many different types of whiskey!

What's wrong with Canadians? A large number of them are Leafs or Canadians fans. And, they don't seem to like the Bruins. I don't get it. :)

I knew that Hockey had to fit here somehow, but couldn't make it work. Thank you for bringing it into the conversation. :D

I have been a Bruin fan since the Bobby Orr days ! He grew up 3 hours away from me and Phil Esposito was raised 25 minutes from here. .....I am glad to see Rask back , hopefully he gets his mojo back by playoff time !

Budweiser and it's sisters has something in the formula that my body can't handle. If I drink bud, bud light, or select, even just one, ill wake up the next day and feel like I have a double ear infection.
I haven't liked Bud since they opened up their brewery in Merrimack, N.H. in the early 70s. Dunno if my tastes just changed around that time, or there's something they do at that plant but it just tastes skunky to me. I think everything they sell in northern New England comes from that plant.

No different than all the odd stuff they put in coffee these days. I suppose enough people like it to make it worthwhile. Yeah, I gave up on the cheap beer not too long after I turned 21. Don't drink that much anymore, but life's too short to drink cheap beer.

If you don't drink much, you can afford the good stuff

I can’t stand flavored coffee, either. If I want candy I’ll buy a Snickers bar.
A former coworker used to stop at Dunkin Donuts for some kind of caramel flavored coffee. Just the smell was enough to make me gag. Bleah!

While back I was into DIY beer.
I had it pressurized in old Coke and Pepsi tanks and stored in a dedicated fridge.
The advantage of pressurized tanks was no bottle washing to do,

I also DIY'd my wine for a while using concentrates and I used vacuum to fill my bottles.
that made filtering a snap.
Being lazy I used alcohol to rinse and cleanse my wine bottles.
Then locally the liquor board offered facilities to fill from their bulk vats which removed the economics of DIYing wine and besides no chances of creating wine vinegar by accident.

LOL, now days I stick mainly to scotch whisky with a few onz B4 dinner.

The funny thing, being retired, I have the time now but not the interest.

If you're like most retirees I know, it's because you have so much going on that you wonder how you ever got anything done while working a full time job!

Plus priorities have changed...

OK, I will chime in on the beer. The problem with Canadians, at least back when I was a beer waiter in Calgary in the 70s, as we wanted REAL beer. I drank something called “extra old stock” which had a 12% alcohol content. The American stuff was just water to us.😜

I think of it as there being four factors as we go through life:

Desire
Ability
Time
Funds $

As a youth I had the first three, during my working years #3 was scarce, now in retirement I’m losing #1 & #2.

"The American stuff was just water to us."

Now your being polite, we had another way of describing it.
A coworker calls it “Canoe beer... a little over water.”
