Yes... Stiegl Beer Salzburg Austria since 1492.

You know the Austrians and Beer... doesn't matter if crane operator, Doctor, etc... a glass of beer in summer with lunch is the norm.

BMW factory workers have Beer in their Union Contract it is so much a part of culture...

For me... not so much.

I used to drink cheap stuff and lots of it. Since I've cut back I enjoy a premium beer or two. My favorite is Sam Adams... regular. I don't understand why anybody would make a good beer, then ruin it with orange peels or nutmeg. Bleahhh

Yes, Sam Adams Pale Ale was a favorite of mine.

I have to confess that I am partial to German beer: Hacker Pschorr, Spaten, Warsteiner. Will drink Stella Artois and Peroni. I wish we could make better beer. I am glad I am more of a whiskey guy. Bourbon on the rocks for me.

Yup, i have no idea why they just let those buildings sit and fall apart. Every time I drive by, on I5, I have to wonder if this is some sort of failure of capitalism that these buildings have not been repurposed.

Speaking of beer. Story time. Years ago there was a Carling brewery in Regina Sask. They brewed a popular beer named Calgary, amongst others. Quality came from the water from their own well, so they said. The brewery was next door to the largest cemetery in the city. A full body beer it was. Our little VW repair shop was kiddie corner from them, could smell the mash when they loaded farm trucks. The bakery across the street smelled a lot better.

Today's high is being reported as "we will see our high at what feels like -25oC" instead of "our high today is -11oC with a light breeze"

That never happens in the US. We always report our "feels like" temperature in degrees Fahrenheit, never in Celsius
