I wouldn't worry about greasing after a wash unless you use a pressure washer, grease repels water, and it would take alot of pressure to push any out of the fittings. Of all the times I've washed my tractor, there was not a hint of rust anywhere on any of the pins for the FEL or BH when I pulled them.

I would not disagree at all, but since I need to grease those fittings occasionally anyway, I just always figured I might as well do it right after washing the machine.

I don't think I've washed my tractor in two years out of shear fear, anyway.

I rarely give my equipment baths. I usually just blow the dirt off with my air compressor.

One thing that always seems to work for me is using a leaf blower to remove dust and debris, then wash but be aware dish soap will remove any wax if you wax the hood, rims and such. But anyhow after wash and rinse, use the leaf blower again to remove any excess water from under the seat, the mmm, rims, and undercarrage, then you should only need one towel for final drying.
