Naturally, the original recipe Kohler/IH Cub Cadet afficianados will brook no argument the first was the best.
When I was at the Cub Cadet dealer locally, the parts manager expressed his opinion as to the best of the rest. So as not to inhibit expressions of opinion, for those of you who have a lot of hours on a single-cylinder, what model number/engine manufacturer/horsepower would get your vote as the most durable engine/transaxle/overall machine?
Another post got me thinking about hours
A cracked block at that early age seems unlikely. What's the greatest number of hours you've ever seen on an hour meter? Personally, it's 2547 hours on a 16hp Kohler in a 2166 and still starting and running fine.
