What's my Kioti worth? Thinking of upgrading to dk40hst

My ck35 hst has 48 hours on it, 2 rear remotes, bucket hooks and a receiver for a hitch. I really like the tractor, it was a giant step up from my kubota b7100. That being said, I'll probably never be closer, dollars wise to upgrade to a dk40 hst. I would think I could find a dk40 (new) for a bit over 20k? What would be a fair deal? I purchased it new in November 2012.

Thanks murph! The cheapest one on there was $17999, I'm sure they can be had a bit cheaper. My remotes were about $800 for 2 sets, that will be a gift to someone as I don't think people would pay much extra for them. I also have all the filters, oil and hydraulic fluid (Mobil 424) for the 50 hour service.
I never would've thought I would be thinking of ever going bigger than a ck35. Is there a book that would have trade in values like they have for cars?

Whats going to be tough is the deals on new, cause why buy used when new is just a few grand more. Do a private sale. No book that I know of. Good Luck!

I don't know, my dealer was good to me when I traded from a CK30 to DK45. I think it's at least worth asking what your dealer can do as a trade. Just make sure you keep the numbers straight in your head, him giving you %90+ back for your current machine is only good if he's not taking you for a ride on the new one. I never saw my CK on the dealers lot, it's almost like he drove it from my house to it's new home. Your dealer may already have a list of people who are looking for a low hrs CK35 so it's an easy deal for him.

I did the same trade you are talking about. Had an '04 CK25 HST 1200 hrs. Traded up to the CK35 HST to help out the snowblower.

The issue for me was the loader seemed to be "weaker" on the 35 than it was on the 25. Got the bucket under some ice one day and couldn't get it out. Had 13 hrs on it when I called the dealer. He was willing to take the 35 back and trade me up to a DK40 HST Cab. He discounted my trade by $500 to cover 2 deliveries and to allow him some "wiggle room" on the 35.

Rm, the dealer that I purchased my ck35 from is now a kubota dealer. Another dealer 2 hours south wanted $9000 and my tractor to trade up to the dk40hst. I'm not willing to lose that much on my 48hr tractor (at this time). I'm sure he will move on that price as we only talked for a few minutes over the phone. I told him I bought my last tractor in about 10 minutes as I had done all the research and didn't need any convincing. The same goes for the dk, give me a decent trade in offer and were done! The paper work will take longer. The cash price for a dk40hst is about $21500. Then I'll need another remote. I had 2 sets on the ck35 and really like it.
The ck35 is everything I thought it would be and more. I believe what you say about the ssqa and losing lift capacity. After having ssqa, I wouldn't own a tractor without it, or rear remotes. I need to get slapped in the face as the ck is so much more than what I had (kubota b7100). But, I'm scratching that itch! It's been said 100's of times to buy a bigger tractor than you need, I did that and a lot more! I just want that 2600 lbs. fel capacity! Lol. Either way I can't lose.

I agree that $9K is too big a hit. The Dk40 is about $3,500 more than the CK35, give or take. So he's asking you to take a $5,500 hit. I think he's $3K too high. Time to go to work. Maybe see what implements can get traded up/thrown in.

When I did my deal, I traded my 7' backhoe for the 8'. He charged me $1k, but there was an $1,100 Kioti rebate at the time, so it was easy to work that in.

Rick, thank you for all the information. I hope I can reach a deal, but it won't be the end of the world if it doesn't happen, the ck is a fine tractor. It took me 6 years of prodding, plotting and convincing to go from the b7100 to the ck. but, if I can cut the deal, my wife won't even recognize the difference between the ck and dk.
