It does sound reasonable, especially given your investment in the ponton boat. Is it an HST model? HST probably isn't a big deal if you are not using a loader or snowblower.

$3000 is very good deal for a '96, esp. is it is HST.
I see higher prices on mid 80's B7100's with double I'd tripple those hours, and no implements included.
Ditto on Tig's comment on HST for loader and snowblower work. I've only put 20 hours in my gear drive B7100, and I'm already trading up to an HST.

well I found out its a 12 speed forward and 3 speed reverse// is it still a good deal?/

Huh!!! I'm no expert, but I thought all gear-drive B7100's had a 3 forward speeds, + reverse, with a 2 range rear for a total of 6 forward, and 2 reverse. 12 forward and 3 reverse is a 4 speed trans with a 3-range rear. I'm sure some of the L-series tractors, and maybe some of the newer B's have that, but the B7100 never did (as far as I know).

Well heres the latest I seen ib other post that if it has 4 lugs its a older tractor well it has 4 lugs so what do you'all think now??

That is definitely an older B7100. $3000 is an OK price for an older B7100 gear drive if it is good condition.
I paid $4600 for my 1980 B7100 with FEL and a counterweight. It has 2000 hrs. on it when I bought it.
I would probably consider looking elsewhere based on principle, as the seller seems to be misrepresenting it as a newer tractor.
Also, by all means, if you want an HST (hydrostatic drive), don't settle for a gear drive, or you'll be back for an HST

well I think you all have been very helpful on my decision on this,I think he is being dishonest also,so I will look elsewhere Thanks all for replying to me.
