What year 446 do i have

Engine serial # is 1073720230
Tractor serial # is 9694698
Im trying to restore the tractor to its original shape, but i dont know what year it is, i think its between 1973 to 1976, if some one could help that'd be awesome.

the thing is, i'm trying to restore it, so the problem is, i can't find out by color or style what year it is. i mean, the colors on certain parts, or little things on the tractor, change from year to year, i know by the general style of it, thats the approximate year. Does anyone know how it works with the serial number, if theres a system to find out the year?

You should be able to give a dealer/service department the serial number and have them look it up. It is a common way to identify parts.

I got my NH TC40D used. The tractor had a sticker for the original dealer on it; I called them. They told me year, and even had info in the system about the original purchase.

My old Farmall, was able to find the same info. I had looked it up in restoration books too. But, I was able to give the Case/IH dealer the serial number, and they gave me the year. They also had parts for that 1941 mdl-A tractor!

Early 1974. 1974 serial numbers were from 9694673 to 9713264. Why don't you join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/casegardentractors ? Lots of information there.
