I have to wonder how much of the current vitriole pointed at Edison is just another case of the internet rewriting history.

No.. he was pretty much a bad guy personally and the way he treated people.

my generally negative view of edison was established long before the internet.

it's the difference between believing what they tell you and actually looking into it for yourself.
