What tool do you find most useful on the farm for general use (besides tractor)?

The most important tool is always the one I do not have handy. And my tools are apparently migratory. Here today, gone tomorrow.. and back again when I don't need them.:laughing:

What about the common claw hammer? I think I own nine of them, but they are still hard to find when one is needed.

Besides my tractor, my Yamaha Rhino UTV is the next most useful tool that I use.

Stihl BR600 blower - aside from it's intended use it is a great snowblower, cleans out cars, trucks and equipment, blows stuff out of culverts, recently tied plastic air bag to a pull and blew it thru a long conduit run, took only a couple seconds!
Instead of raking it easily moves 3/4 stone out of the grass and back into the driveway every spring, cleans area rugs & throw rugs (outdoors), great tool!

The tool that see's year around use for me besides the tractor, is the chainsaw.... Summer/fall/winter, even spring I have to use it. Wood stove is my only heat. All the rain we have had over the last couple of years has turned my place into a rain forest- trees grow as fast as I can cut them. I am going to have to limb tree's in my drive before weeks end as they are sagging from the weight of the leaves.

Fencing multi-tool. Works as a hammer, pliers, wire cutter, nail and staple puller, among other things.

Bench vise. Seems nearly everything eventually winds up between it's jaws at some point.

My Polaris ATP. It goes everywhere on the property to fix, repair or complete projects. I carry the generator in the rear box and am able to use most any tool out in the field.

Most useful tool besides tractor. Ummm. It would have to be my truck. That's where I keep my other tools so it's never far from me. Even when I go to the shop, I end up getting tools out of my truck. The only things it's missing is a vise, welder, air compressor and torch. Next truck gets a service bed so those will be on my next truck. Now if only I could make a portable concrete pad so I had a clean level place to work on stuff I wouldn't need a shop.

But if I had to choose the handiest tool it would be my Leatherman wave. I never leave without it on my belt. Although the Kobalt folding utility knife is always on me too. So one of those would be the most used. I use each multiple times a day so can't really choose just one.
