What tool did Santa bring you?

I bought a Milwaukee cordless backpack vacuum for the family. Our entire house is hardwood floors and requires frequent vacuuming. So far it works great and makes it real simple to cover the house end-to-end real fast.

I bought my wife a roomba for the same reason. Laminate flooring and a German Shepherd. We were having to sweep every other day. Set the Roomba up on a schedule to run through the house daily when we were at work. Really took the chore out of keeping up with the house.

Although if you have a second story and stairs, then of course the roomba isn't an option.

The winner for me was hearing one of the kids say "Finally, I will have some friends" (they got a Lego Friends set for Christmas). We all cracked up at that one.

Wife got tickets to a play and a new pearl necklace.

I got a Stihl MS461 chainsaw along with a few new Carhartt flannels. Just doesn't get much better than that!

Thomas - every spring I thin my stands of young Ponderosa pines. Usually around 900 small trees. They are 6" in diameter or less on the base. I used my larger Stihl chain saw( MS270 ) with a 20" bar. I found that this situation became dangerous. As the day progressed, I would tire. My arms droop. Finally, the tip of the chain saw would make contact with my boots. A REALLY bad situation.

Now I do the same job with my new, lighter, shorter Stihl MS192 and a 12 inch bar. Cuts just as fast, I might have to bend over a tad more, my toes are now in the "safe zone".

Santa DID bring new toys. I bought a couple new chains for the 192. AND my son has decided that the spring project - identify, cut, drag, pile, chip - is not such a bad job after all. He has helped the old man the last two years. Still, dragging & piling is a PITS of a job.

Excited I got a 7in Makita Grinder. Holy Moly! That thing is heavy. I had no idea. I guess the other good news is that it will help me with my New Years resolution to get in better shape!

Santa brought me a New Makita EA5600FRGG chainsaw to replace the saw I sold to a customer. Not a bad looking saw.

Would have been more impressive delivering it on the lowbed Xmas morning but wouldn’t have been able to get it down their street. Now I know why Santa uses a sleigh.

My wife surprised me with a small electric air blower for getting a fire going. She bought me a hand bellows a few years ago that I really like, but she wanted me to have something better. We have a fire out on our porch several times a week, and I used it last night after everyone left. All I can say is WOW, that thing works great!!!!!!

How about a pair of mini bolt cutters? BTW I’m not affiliated with Knipex in any way nor have I received a single cent for promoting their products and I paid retail price on every Knipex product I own.

Pretty impressive that it cut that bolt. Might be a good tool to get for cutting fencing!!!
