What to do?

Our trusty Odyssey has 300,000 miles and I'm afraid it's getting tired. It still runs and drives good, just had to replace the AC compressor and afraid this might be signs of things to come. We really like the car, but don't like the fact that all the newer Odysseys are bigger and V6, I get along just fine with a 4. I found a 1997 w/33,000 miles that I'm checking on, but I might have missed that one. The wife went to town last week and saw a Kia Soul, a '10 w/23,000 miles. Now the quandry, trying to decide if we want the used w/balance of 10/100,000 warranty or just go for a new one. Anyone know if it's possible to get a new one for 15k cash, that's tops on what we want to spend.

Don't know what they sell for new.. I looked on auto trader & saw a 2010 soul with 9,919 miles for 13995

I looked a three new ones and they all stickered for high 17K and low 18K so I'm sure with the economy tight that cash might work better than financing.

Problem solved, found an '01 MDX and the wife just had to have it. Mama's happy, I'm happy, good ending.

I'm kinda in the same boat, looking for a Honda Pilot, which is about the same as the MDX, not quite as nice.

Wife had her heart set on a CRV, I wanted a Fit, couldn't see dropping a bundle for either one new. I like the Pilots, but didn't see one in our price range, I would have been happy with a Ridgeline then I could have retired the '87 Nissan P/U.
