What to do with an old pressure tank?

Dry well. I had two and I dug a hole to allow surface water at one corner of my house a place to go, away from the house and into these tanks that has holes at the bottom and the hole back filled with gravel up to 1 feet below the surface before fabric separates from the topsoil. Works like a charm!

Deer Park needs all the water it can get, I don't (over 100" of rain here last year!).

Cut in half lengthwise makes a good watering trough, especially if you equip it with a float valve to keep it full. Put on stand and fill with flowers. I have even seen one fixed with additons to resemble a cow for pasture ornament.

I can't believe that I didn't think of this (well, I've pondered similar things before, but of late those can't be located in my head!).

So far I've still got water flowing (though it's really slowing down). In the past I'd fill a IBC tote and trailer it out for my critters (don't have large animals, so no need for a lot of water).

I've got a plasma torch: it would be my first use of it (have had it for a while but have been too busy with other things to use it yet).

I wish that I had the time, and talent(!) for creating a piece of art: I have yet to acquire welding skills (also have a welder that is waiting for me to use). Don't think that I can come up with something quick enough to satisfy my desire to get the darn thing out of my sight (it's mingling with all my tractor implements, which are used to do the "kicking"!).

Bruce, that's a great idea. I don't, however, have a need for another trailer: I've got three, and one I'm seriously considering selling (it's dump trailer- real handy, but I'm really not using it enough anymore to justify keeping it [it's not licensed for the road]). I have a great little tandem axle trailer, I believe it was a pony trailer (I got it for free- figure the thing, even in crappy form, is worth $500- really hard to find a small tandem, walking axle trailer): farm use only; in need of maintenance (too many things to maintain!).

Use for water carrier vs IBC tote if lighter? (bolt onto pallet) Shorten then add concrete and tool holders to use as 3PH ballast?
