I noticed recently a thick sticky brown/black liquid on my tires. I first thought that it was water but a closer look reveilled a sticky stuff. It is al over the tread of the 4 tires but doesn't seem to eat in it, at least for now. It slowly leaks down on the sides of the tires. I drive the tractor in the snow and it appears shortly after I put it in my heated garage. I never seen that before, just recently. No oils or other stuff that came near this tires. Outside everything is snow covered. This tires are R4's from Firestone. Any ideas or similar experiences?

From what you describe it sounds like bead lube. Usually dabbed on the rim around the bead to help the tire slide on. Never seen enough of it put on to actually leak out though and when you do see it, it's usally around the rim where the tire meets the rim. You got pictures of this stuff you can post?

Try not posting them as .zip files...tough to view directly and not many willing to download to their computer, unzip, open, THEN look at your tires.
If they're too big, you can lower the resolution through most any photo editing program.

I tried downloading and that did not work either. I went to Google and typed in resize pictures. There are a number of websites that do it for free.

You have to download them to your drive, then right click the file and choose unzip here for the fastest way to do it. A PITA that's for sure. After looking at them I don't have a clue what that stuff is!!! It doesn't look like it's coming from the inside of the tire but spraying out from somewhere???

Sorry for the trouble with the pictires. i was in a hurry and did not double check them. I just came home and saw the problems. Thanks for rectifying this!
As a note please ignore the date which states 2003, this pictures are recent (daughter played with the camera) and i just cleaned some snow here and it seems to come back. Now I'm worried that this will shorten or destroye the tires. I phoned and emailed the pictures to the Dealer who is momentarily attending a Kubota meeting. He told me that this is something Kubota will defer to Firestone, but he will try to access the pictures and show them.I showed this already to some people and nobody sofar has seen this before. Are most of the factory tires Firestone?
