I spoke with my NH dealer today and explained the temperature problem. One of the mechanics related they did have problems with defective thermostats or possibly one they failed to install. I also had a problem with the " float " position on the 270 loader that failed to stay engaged. Some of the brackets were not built properly on the lever control which failed to provide ample forward movement. As a result the control valve did not completly engage. They will pick up the tractor one day next week and take care of the problems. They are also going to install a block heater while it is there for service.
I also asked if they had any problems with the brake lock mechanism causing a current draw. The mechanic said they also found the solution to this problem. The wiring to the unit was reversed making it operate backwards. It opens the circuit when it should be closed. If it does not have a low toned beep when the key is off and the brake not set it is definately the cause.
These people are by far the most knowledgable, helpful, NH dealer I have had the pleasure to do business with. I certainly will recommend Cherokee Garage in Colby, Wisconsin for great service and customer appreciation.
