Oil & Fuel What Synthetic oil to use

I have a new JD 1025R, I see that people have posted they went to synthetic after the first oil change, I have 15 hours on mine. What brand and grade is recommended ?
Thanks - Love this new tractor, have a Ingersoll 4016 I had new since the late 90's, she treated me well, but this is a beast in comparison.

I've been running Rotella T6. Usually buy 2.5 gal jugs when they're on sale, plus rebates. Comes out to just under $4 per quart. Interested to hear what others have been using.

To the TBN forum. We are glad that you joined and everyone will give you different answers.

The main thing is to get something that equals or exceeds the manufacture's requirement to keep the warranty good.

I use Shell Rotella T6 but the T5 Ultra is probably just as good but my WSM only calls for T4.

Well, make sure you use the Break-In Oil for its required period

I know Rotella is popular. I use the oil sold & branded for Kubota. Just plain old 15W40 dino oil.

I use amsoil 5w-40, only because it is right down the road.

According to the owners manual the first oil change isn't due for 200 hours and there is no break in period, at least for my 2017 model.
