I'm looking for a small Zero Turn lawn mower, something with a cut smaller than 34". The only ones I've found so far are listed below.

Toro z334 $5000 34"
Gravely Mini 2T 1534 $2500 34"
Dixon ZTR 30"
Dixie Chopper $5000 34"

I've looked at all the websites I could find: Home Depot, JD, Kubato, TSC, Hustler, Ferris, Sears, Lowes, ExMark, and Badboys.

Does anybody know of any other small ZTR's? I don't need commercial grade. It will be used for cutting flat, rock and stump free lawn. Right now I'm leaning toward the Gravely as it's the cheapest, and has a dealer close by.

I don't know of any other models than those you listed. I do know the few Gravely riding mowers I have seen quite durable and give good bang for the buck.

Keep in mind that you are mixing apples and oranges there. The Dixie Chopper and Toro (and its sister Exmark Phazer) are considered entry level commercial. Although, the Dixie's drive is twin separate pumps and wheel motors, not a dual IZT. Gravely also makes one in this category, the PM34. BobCat makes a 36" model of their FastCat, another dual IZT, but well built mower.

As for consumer models, I looked around as well and, like you didn't find much in 34" and less. Simplicity Javelin and Toro z380 both come in at 38", while most others start at 42", and all go up from there.

What's the reason for wanting to stay 34" or less?

I don't have a lot of storage space and I'm not cutting that much grass. The Gravely Mini I sat on wasn't much bigger than a regualer riding lawn mower. If I ever do get acreage, I just buy a bigger machine.

Do you know anything about the Dixons?

No, I don't have a clue about the smaller Dixons. I do know they have been manufacturing consumer ztrs for more years than most others have been in existence. You'd have to try one out.

My situation was different: 3 acres with quite a few mature trees. So I was looking much larger. I was used to a commercial machine, albeit a older 3-wheeled outfront deck model with a 61" deck. Consequently, 52" was my bottom line for size.

I ended up with a Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle LT2700-60D for a few reasons: (1) liked the construction (heavier than consumer or most prosumer models); (2) liked the handling; (3) more bang for my buck vs competitors models (27hp vs 23hp, $7k vs $8-9k); (4) liked the financing (3.9% for 36 months); and (5) phenominal dealer (threw in extra set of blades and a hat!).

Happy hunting...

If it's storage space that's the concern, take a look at Snapper. I've got a 42" yard cruiser that stands on end for storage.

For those keeping track, I also checked Snapper, Lawnboy, Poulan, Honda, Grasshopper, Scag, Troy-Built, Husgvarna, Walker, Everride, MarkStaar, Toro, Dixie Chopper, and Gravely.
